RTGS and NEFT Holidays for 2009

Today's Post is with regard to RTGS Holidays for 2009. The holidays have been declared by Reserve Bank of India.

Presently, the RTGS and NEFT Holidays are synchronized, i.e on a same day, both RTGS/NEFT Transactions will not be there.

Based on past experience, Reserve Bank of India, has increased the number of Holidays, to cover almost all major Indian festivals. In the past, Reserve Bank of India, used to declare Holidays at the last moment. This was creating problems both to the customers as well as the bankers.

Hence, this time, Reserve Bank of India, wisely, declared the Holidays in advance.
